Man you missing out on some good fishing. Use them all winter and you will load the live well. Remember in the winter shad start dying and falling to the bottom, and bass eat them up. Use heavyer spoons in the winter or c-rig the light ones.

There have been only two instances I've EVER had any luck with spoons.

One was in Quebec near the Arctic Circle. I was able to cast them and catch big, extremely stupid brook trout.

The other occurance was ice fishing, vertical jigging with spoons tipped with "meat."

Otherwise, I've never had any kind of ...

These are the fish me and my two sons caught on a recoil rig. They were mixed fish. Striper, white bass, perch, and bass. We released the large mouth, and kept the rest for a meal. They were 68 total. The kids love using this rig.

I got to use my new flutter spoons today on Lake Russel S.C. Man there AWESOME. We caught 17 spotted bass on them. We were C-rigging them and also using them with no weight. When using them with no weight we would get right over the top of brush piles ...

Benny Hull helped develop the BoJoLe flutter spoon. I use them and have developed a lot of confidence in them, especially for fishing below dams. But they're not like the spoons you're used to.
